Khidmatul ‘Awaam Pilgrim Services (KAPS), a people-focused Hajj group, was
established in 1429/2008 with the mission of making Hajj affordable and accessible to all
Muslims.
As the cost of Hajj continued to rise, a group of dedicated brothers and sisters came together
to form a specialist Hajj group. Public meetings were held across South Africa to gather
input and ensure the group would serve the real needs of pilgrims.
It was unanimously decided to establish a service-oriented Hajj group that would make
Hajj a reality for every Muslim. Alhamdulillāh, through the efforts of these founders and the
duas of Ulama and the community, Khidmatul ‘Awaam was born.
While we specialize in Hajj, we also offer a wide range of packages to meet the diverse
needs of all pilgrims. Beyond service, we focus on the spiritual enrichment of each
pilgrimage.
